I'm a big MC player on PC, but my 2 boys play on 360. My 6 year old found the secret room underwater with the full diamond set in it and I was like OMG!! O.O
lol... kids.
also, if you mine around in the middle of the castle courtyard, you can find a small open area with some redstone lines but they don't connect to anything. I guess it's from an abandoned project.
At coordinates X:211, Y:75, Z:55, There will be a large X made out of gravel, dig straight down the center and you will find a dungeon.
If you keep digging down for
There in a straight line you'll uncover a little cavern in the same shade as the formed x on ground level down there you will fin 8 diamonds 2 in every corner and some redstone
I don't know if anyone else said this, but if you climb up to the giant minecraft sign on top of the map and dig inside of it, you can find the Nether portal
BTW, there is a nether portal on the inside of the HUGE minecraft sign. If you get up by the "M" in Minecraft there is a lever that uses sticky pistons to open a door.

The underwater dungeon is there, at the given coordinates.
I tried looking for the gravel X, but no such thing...
I think I looked at all four possible locations, with an - and without one on the numbers...
I don't think the tutorial loads precisely the same every time. Perhaps it is a bit of a bug Like you, I could never find a gravel X in my tutorial world. Then, one day I uploaded another tutorial world to help someone else begin in the game. That tutorial world has the gravel X and I had no problem finding it. Afterward, I went back into my other tutorial world to the exact same coordinates and it wasn't there. Both tutorial worlds were started on the same Xbox system after the July update, but before the August bug fix update. Theoretically at least, they should have been identical; but they aren't.

I found a cave with about 7 diamonds in it.
Just go into the building of cobblestone next to the biggest house in the first village you go into.
You will see a gravel block in the middle at the end. Dig straight down (don't worry, you will just hit bedrock), and once you hit bedrock, turn to the left and dig a tunnel, you will soon hit a cave (I think, I haven't done this in quite a while). With possibly a slime, some diamonds, and a lot of lava

You sure one of those coordinates didn't have a - in front of it?

I got 3 stacks of clay balls from one area.

Most likely, that's the first secret I found, except for the nether portal in the minecraft logo.
