Last night, I fell in lava even though I was in sneak mode. Still not sure how I managed that.
So I ran down to recover my items. Found out, natch, when you die in lava, your items are mostly all destroyed. I mean, I recovered a few 64 blocks of cobblestone (wow, how lucky) and some picks, but I lost my beloved diamond armor that took me several hours to get.
Experience is a good teacher, unfortunately it demands a pretty damn steep tuition sometimes.
