do you need gold to play with other people as i remember something about guest thing to play i dont know for sure tho

At least one account must be gold. The rest can log in as guest after logging in as a silver first.

It's online multiplayer, you will always need gold. There isn't a single online multiplayer game that can be played without a gold account.

You don't need gold for offline splitscreen though.

but to do split screen you need an hdtv and i dont have one :|

Well phantasy star universe you can play with a silver account online , but you still have to pay thier subscription fee of 9.99$ each month. So theres no way to play for free with anything on xbox , thats the main point here I guess .
