You have a tool in the game called a "Hoe", yet you can't use the word "Hoe" on a sign?! Or even "Ho" for that matter. What happens when Christmas comes around & I want to place a sign at my spawn that says, "Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas, folks"?
this is an issue with microsoft unforunately, you can figure this out if you try to put the same words as your name in your profile and it wont let you. Found this really annoying when i went to put up a sign stating "Monster Drops" with monster being censored.
Well if we did a petition, might as well include an ingame screenshot of obsidian blocks configured to demonstrate our opinion of said censorship. Divide and conquer?
Why would an 18 join a 8 year old's server or even be on the friendslist
i have a cousin under 10, im 19, does this mean i'm not allowed to be friends with him?
anyways, it's because when parents see or hear the things that other people do or say, they target the developer or the publisher, not the player, it just saves microsoft the hassle of dealing with it
Still a credit to your ruse, what a beautiful excuse, To never open up your eyes and see the things you lose,
Just climb the beanstalk when you die and meet the giant in the sky.
This is all well and good until you join a server with kids on it or kids join yours.
True, but maybe the uncensored signs could be restricted to offline mode? I don't see the problem in yourself joining a server with kids on it. As I said, this feature could be restricted to XBL accounts that are 18+. & I really don't think you would see an adult playing Minecraft with a child, unless it was a family member/relative, as someone stated above. Maybe the signs could be "censored" to the underage account, but still be visible to the 18+ account.
The english language is extensive, I suggest getting a thesaurus and finding other words to use that have no way of using them for profanity. What if a young kid joined someone's world and saw inappropriate words... remember this is still a video game which many children play.
All I want to put on my sign is "heigh ho, heigh ho, it's of to mine we go!"
Please change it.

That is ridiculous. Another word I was going to use in my mine. They're dropping like fly's.
Ahh yes, Microsoft... I forgot about those buggers. Damn Microsoft spoiling everyone's fun.
Yes, Miencraft is a game for all ages, and yes, young children can play Minecraft.
But that's no reason to ruin everyone's fun for a incredibly small percentage of the community.
Why couldn't they include a "Swear filter" under the options, or include it under parental controls? It boggles the mind.
