So, I have seen Minecraft. Was turned off by its pixelated graphics, frankly. So I gave it a chance on a slow day, and now I'm hopelessly hooked. Seriously, I'm itching to get home now to spend even more hours on this game. I've got the bug bad.
First things first, I am playing on Xbox live as Evilwillhunting. I'm working on an easy-level realm called Dragonia. I'll be on tonight from 8pm-10pm. Drop in!
So I'm hoping you folks can help me out with a few questions.
1.) Swimming seems to be an art I cannot master. I seem to sink like a rock and I can't reach the surface unless I hammer the Green button like my life depends on it (and it does). I can sometimes get by with just slamming that green button, but other times I just stay at the bottom. Any tips?
2.) What precisely is the rule for monsters knowing I'm nearby? Can they detect me even when holed up in a house? Or does at least one square need to be exposed?
3.) Can I hang the clock? I cant seem to place it anywhere.
4.) I'm building a lighthouse. Any idea of what I should use for the light source? I was just thinking putting a big wall of torches.
5.) Is there any way to tell how deep I am? I mean other than the clues of the kind of materials I'm finding?
6.) How far is the skeleton's reach with the bows?
7.) When I cut down a tree, will it grow back? It appears the tree does disappear entirely if I cut it all down, but if I leave a few segments, will it come back?
8.) What exactly are the advantages of taming wolves?
9.) Is there any way to teleport? I'd love to build a castle in the sky, except getting to it would be a pain.
2.) I don't believe a block would do, I believe the monsters have a radius, in which if you enter, they will start to move toward you and attack you.
3) Haven't built a clock yet
4) What about glow stone?
5) Don't think there is
6) Again, don't know, but its far enough..
7) Just cut down the entire tree, (just all the wood), then the leafs will disappear, when they do, saplings will drop in which u can just plant for more trees.
8) They attack monsters that attack you, even players!
9) If you build a castle in the sky, just pour water off it and you can climb up the water fall. The only teleporter I know of is the nether portal.

2. Each monster has a different perception levels.
3. No you can't.
4. Glowstone or light Netherrack both found in the Nether.
5. Not yet.
6. Just as far as you can shoot.
7. No just cut the whole thing and plant the sapling.
8. They attack anything that is hostile towards you (including other people) but won't attack creepers.
9. Only way to "teleport" is some nether portals, but you must walk in the Nether to go to the other Nether Portal.
10. Not yet so build new armor.
