I seem to be having issues with them just pushing one occupied cart(whether it's a cart with chest, or cart with me in it). Anyone have any ideas what could be going on? I load it with coal and the land is flat, but they won't push anything but empty carts.
Have you ever seen a real life train that has more than one engine car on it? If you have, then you should be able to guess why they have more than one. The train is too heavy to be pulled by a single engine.
It works the same way in Minecraft. A single Powered Minecart is not enough to push a an occupied Minecart. If the Powered Cart cannot push the occupied Cart, there needs to be more engines. So slap another Powered Minecart down, and viola.
On a sorta related note. Do occupied minecarts move REALLY fast for anyone else? Downloaded the trial and found the minecart track in the tutorial level and it went insanely fast. Way faster then the carts in the PC version.
I accidentally pushed it down the track without me in it and it didn't even make it halfway down it though. With me in it was like literally a second and I was at the end.

I'm usually not trying to be rude. So if a post comes across that way then sorry :]
I think wanting for a single engine to push a single cart is hardly an unrealistic want/need.
That's not how it works in the PC version. A single engine will push a storage minecart and or an empty minecart. However, player and mob occupied mincarts are too heavy for one engine to push. Same way it works in the PC version.
Also, I have another question for the OP. After putting the fuel in, did you use one of the triggers to tell the Minecart which way you wanted it to go?

Yes, I had triggered them to move, but nothing(I had them all moving at once at one point and set myself/storage carts farther down the track and as the powered carts came upon the next cart they would stop). Also, they aren't even pushing my storage minecarts either. Just empty ones. I was looking forward to using the furnace cart instead of having to burn all my gold into powered rails, but I decided to just use the powered rails since I couldn't get it to work.
