I was wondering when the update equivalent to 1.8 comes out would they include the FOV changer? I know this is the least of my worries right now and probably the least important thing to wonder about in terms of Minecraft XBLA's future but I was really curious knowing that most games on XBOX, or any console just in general never get a field of view changer just because there is not much need for it mainly because you play XBOX on a tv and not up close to your monitor where it sucks to play first person games with a low field of view. Unfortunately for me my TV cuts off a lot of the screen(its pretty old) so I play on my pc monitor and I sit up close to it like you would do when you are surfing the web so a higher FOV would really benefit me. Its really hard playing COD and just any first person game in general seeing as it really hurts my eyes and I was wondering just how many people it would really benefit. I know its not many but maybe if we get some support on this it would convince 4J to include this even though the majority of people won't even touch it. Also sorry about the run-on sentences I'm really bad about that.

I can't figure out how to do the achievement get thing, so.... yeah
They are adding everything from the PC version,so the FOV changer will be included
I'm sure you're just assuming, which is alright, but if you had any proof that would be great. And even if we don't have any now it would be great to see some in the future.

4J studios has already stated they are aiming to update to the major PC releases - (first one will be the equivalent of the PC Beta 1.7.3 version) so its highly likely that yes FoV is included. But due to Skeptics ( See above post) I've asked Directly if FoV would be an option when they bring the game up to 1.8.
Proof is that 4J has said they will be updating to the current PC version. The current PC version has a FOV changer in it.
Ipso Facto, the Xbox gets a FOV changer.
I trust you a lot seeing as you have so much activity on the forums and I see your posts on pretty much every single topic plus you have like 2,399 posts so youre pretty dedicated but I gotta say it doesnt seem as simple as that. I am still curious just based on the simple fact that a grand total of about 1 or 2 xbox/console games if any at all have the option to change FOV and its not really a big concern to developers of console games so I was just hoping to put it in 4Js head just to make sure they were thinking about it.

They are copy and pasting Minecraft from the PC onto the Xbox. They aren't changing anything at this point. Everything in Minecraft Beta 1.6.6 on the PC is in the Xbox version which is equivelant to it's PC counerpart.
Since they are just porting the game, they will just copy the PC version of Minecraft. 99.99999999999999% chance of there being a FOV slider. The lack of a FOV slider in other Xbox games has nothing to do with it not being in Minecarft. Minecraft isn't an Xbox game, it's a PC port.

True, true. Faith has been restored. Thanks. Really looking forward to the update now. Might have to go play some lag city ***** lag lag city ***** Minecraft on the pc haha.

Actually, in contrast to what others are saying its a copy and paste from the PC game, it may not be, FOV changer could lower FPS quality, so they may not release it.
