Never believe something a friend says. No offence to your friend, but I do the same with my friends as well. Whenever someone says something about a game, I never believe them unless it comes straight from the horses mouth. Or in this case, 4J's mouth.
Also, why would they waste an update on adding just a new block?
Nope. Pistons are being added in the 1.7.3 update. Along with many other things.
To everyone's knowledge, even 4J's knowledge, that update is not coming out friday. This is probably a case of, friend read something on a site on the internet, believe it as truth, and proceeded to tell all his friends it was happening.
That's usually what happens.
