I'm really sure how else to go about it so I'm in the process of digging tunnel (its very long already) thats 3x3x3 (the size needed to spawn the biggest slime, but no luck yet =/
This may not be help but in my brothers house on main land (probably like y=64) he gets a slime spawning it in every now in then. The chances are terrible but he got lucky
Go near bedrock, maybe 10 blocks up, make a giant empty space that's at least 15 blocks tall. Make sure the floor is made of smooth stone. You probably want a decent area, 25x25 or so? Make sure it's either dark or very dimly lit, using redstone torches instead of regular ones or glowstone.
Go home, wait a bit. Come back down, they will spawn like mad
Not very useful since we have no coordinates.
My bedrock mine is in a slime chunk and I hollowed out a large cavern. Almost without fail everytime I go down there are slimes.
yeah it sucks that we don't have f3 to find slime chunks
