I bought Minecraft on XLA on Wednesday when it was first released and bought an Xbox live membership after that. This game is not at all what I expected it to be, it felt rushed and not worth it's price. I also noticed that Microsoft no longer offers new comers a free month of Xbox Live gold membership which angered me a little. At first I just wanted to join a server and see how great the multiplayer experience was but I soon learned that multiplayer could only be played with the gamers friends which was a huge let down, then I thought to add random players that had been featured on the game's leader board system but my screen froze after trying to change to filter (May have been due to the fact that so many people where playing at once and the global leader boards kept on expanding. Minecraft’s crafting tabs were somewhat confusing to me at first but then I got the hang of it. Soon after playing about 10 minutes of Single Player I noticed a light glitch that may have just caused because of the version of Minecraft that the developers based the game off of. The Next day I had invited a friend over to try to so called “Split Screen mode” that so many reviews and Mojang had spoken about, This was the most annoying issue I had ever had to deal with in a game, It took us about an hour to realize the co-op mode was completely unavailable unless you had HD mode on. I had an HD TV but no HDMI cable due to the cheap Xbox bundle I bought. Mojang and notch claimed they didn’t even know about this but guessed it the porting company had done this so that crafting menus and GUI's would be better visual, I don’t blame them because I noticed even in single player the font was unclear and blurry but they failed to inform players about this and many people bought this game because of it's split screen and multiplayer. This game does not yet have my approval the reason I say yet is because Mojang has said the Minecraft: Xbox Edition will have updates similar to the PC version. Sadly I give this version 6 out of 10 diamond pick axes
Minecraft on the xbox is on a really really old version. When this version was on pc it had the same if not more bugs. As Mojang and 4J said the xbox 360 version will be getting updates just like the pc version does.
Wow, this is the worst sort of review i have ever seen.
I'm Sorry.
but when you make a review, Don't consistently continue writing, make it look nice, i just didn't want to read the whole thing because it looked like this and it just keep't on going and going and going and going and going and it just never stopped because it kept looking like this and oh, look my cat just jumped on my computer and oh, now shes on the window, and now she ran out of my room looking for food. oh, now shes back and now she is back up on the window.
I was going to sit here and pick apart your "negative review" as you call it. Then I decided it was just easier to say that it's one of the worst jumbles of run on sentence I've ever seen. It hardly keeps to one coherent point and just jumps all over the place.

The sad thing is it costs $22.50 for a beta while the full game cost $26.95
XBLA title isnt a 'beta' even thought the pc equivalent is. While there are some issues as someone stated, updates are free. Also issue with Split screen, it was stated in several places what was required to use that feature.
You know this for a fact?, also who knows how far they will update it to. I know microsoft likes to charge extra for big updates
They charge the COMPANY for updates, not the players. When was the last time you had to pay MS points to update a game? You only pay for DLC, not updates.
Oh no..... no.... this cant be happening........not......another........another wall o' text.......and..suck content.......... *assumes fetal position and begins whimpering quietly*

It says right in the game description that updates are free.
