Sorry folks I'm a newbie to Minecraft, but I'm learning.
I've noticed some people have these blocks that are on fire and it appears they stay on fire. How do I get those? I have not experimented yet with any blocks. I figured I'd ask...
Glowstone, another block found exclusively in the Nether, seems to work for a better lighthouse because it gives more of a yellow glow, and you can use flammable blocks in the lighouse structure such as wool.

You will need a Diamond pickaxe to be able to mine the Obsidian. If you do not have a diamond pickaxe, use method to build a portal which only requires 10 buckets of lava & bucket of water. Happy hunting.
