So how many Monster Spawners have you found in your world so far?
My brother and I have found 3 so far but we aren't sure what two of them are. Since we are on peaceful, what are you doing with the ones you have found?
I have found 3 in the one cave system. Two Zombie spawner's, & one Skeleton. It's good, two of them are about 20 blocks apart. Now I have free feathers & arrows... & free kills!

You got very lucky with that Skeleton one then, do you have a trap or do you just fight them with a sword? I can't find a effect way to kill mobs with a trap.

I have water flowing from the rear of the spawner so it brings the Skeleton to the front, so I can slice them with a sword through a gap, one block high & 7 blocks wide. Then a water source at the front, flowing to one side so it takes the items to a collection point. Same with Zombie spawner.

Nice, I might try that, can't believe I didn't think of doing that. I tried drowning them but most of the zombies I had kept sliding through the glass.

I was going to make a trap that drowned them, but I thought it would be more fun to kill them myself. Plus, it adds to my total kills on the leaderboard. Only trapped it yesterday & I'm already #88 for kills-normal.
I have played for 60+ hours, and have mined across the map quite a few times. I have yet to find a single dungeon or monster spawner.
Tip: When walking across the surface of your world while day, and you hear zombies moaning or spiders slurping underneath you, try digging in that direction. It is often a spawner.

oh man I'd hate to have one underneath my house, mainly due to the fact that my house doesn't have any light source within the first level.

I like the zombie ones mainly because their easy to kill and they drop feathers for arrows

Turned them into grinders for infinidrops when the duplication glitch is fixed ;P

we found all of the spawners within two tunnels, we noticed that they are usually found near cave generated areas.
