Title says it all. Its kinda anoying trying to walk all over when you dont have coordinated, if you die its damn near impossible to find your stuff again.
Back Button should show the coordinates, the world seed, and the depth as well as what it already shows.
You fools saying the map is there for a reason just don't get it. Having this information allows for some spacial awareness the we are all used to having on the PC.

There once was a time before XYZ coordinates on PC as well... We made it.

The worlds are so small, it really isn't necessary right now, and it's not that hard to dig down to bedrock, go back up 12-13 blocks and strip mine for diamonds.

THANK YOU! But back button doesnt show coordinates. Its the invite player button.
We are looking at adding this on the map display, which seems like a good compromise of being able to see your position and having to keep hold of a map to see it.
Might I suggest you have a toggle of some sort? (The back button is a good example) I for one do not want to constantly see my position...or loose the "pure" map which we have now. (I am assuming your response was that it would always display when map is out...if not...my bad.)

I'm assuming you'll want xray powers to be added next?

there is so much technical stuff in minecraft that it's almost a necessary tool for "full experience"
finding/farming on slime chunks
mob spawning distances
mob trap drop heights
mob spawner radius area's
lining up rails across the map
etc...
but of course if you play casually and not that technical then it's no biggie
