I'm not sure if my world just doesn't have the right biomes, wolves don't spawn due to some random bug, or I've just been extremely unlucky, but I haven't seen one yet (though not for a lack of looking).
Edit: I FINALLY found one! =] I guess its just a matter of luck.
They spawn near forest type areas, I suggest going to the wiki page about wolves. I have found about 18 plus already, but only had enough bones for 4 of them.

See that's the thing, I'm not sure if some of my biomes are technically forrest (or grass/taiga). Most of the areas with a lot of trees tend to have a fair amount of water and "very green" grass. I'd really like to figure out if I have any of the biomes cause if not, I'd almost consider creating a new world
it took me 3 days b4 i found any but lucky for me i found 5 at once and trained them all right there and got the achievement and then i made a GIANT minecrart track and got the on a rail achievement and with that i got ALL achievements already and that GIANT minecart track im still makin it bigger
I've run into a whole pack of them, domesticated one due to lack of bones..and never saw wolves again. All depends on what spawns where, I guess. Keep looking/reloading, you'll get luck.
The seed gargamel spawns you in a mountain biome with wolves on the outskirts of spawn, also I think Azeroth or something like that can spawn you in a snow biome

I have 10, but I've seen plenty more roaming around.
How did you do the screenshot? The only screenshot I know of (in 360) is the one that shares with facebook.
