Looks like the update was delayed, as Mojang and Microsoft have agreed it is too early to release one.

Now the problem is, we have no idea if this is the real Facebook page. I think I've seen a link to this somewhere on the Xbox website. But we need more evidence.



4JStu just confirmed this is a fake page on post 12 of this thread. He also confirms they are currently working on the next update, which will be the equivalence of 1.7.3.

If this is real, than 4J and Microsoft need to step their game up.

At least they are updating the game with larger updates at a time since the future versions already exist.

I figured it was too early for an update, best to make 1 big update instead of 50 small ones.

What I'd like to know is, will it only be updated to 7.whatever with all of the same features PC had.. OR, will they even give us a little bonus.

This account isn't in any way affiliated with Microsoft, Mojang or 4J Studios. If you read some of his previous posts on Facebook it becomes painfully obvious.

Posts such as this: "Minecraft® will be compatible for PC and XBOX 360. If you have already bought the beta for Minecraft® PC, you will get the full game 25% off when it is released." No official source has ever said that, or even hinted at that. And it's obvious that was not the case, as no one got a discount.

The guy running that Facebook was even asking "Is it out yet?" on March 21st, which was one of the dates people rumored was the launch date. Would an official source actually need to ask if it was out?

This is simply a fan-made account, don't believe anything he says unless he backs it up with an official source.

EDIT: He also posted this, on April Fools: "GUYS! IT'S HERE! Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is now available to download from the Game Marketplace for 1600 Microsoft Points! Enjoy!" and he then proceeded to post the trollface image. I find it highly unlikely an official source would do that.

I sure hope the next update will fix freezing though.

I wonder, will 4j just do tiny updates, or will it update in leaps and bounds until it catches up to the PC version?
