So I'm digging down pretty deep and I've noticed something on this map. When ever I come across a deposit of dirt way down deep, and I remove the dirt I usually find something hidden like Iron or Coal. Is this just a fluke or should I really be paying more attention to the dirt deposit's down deep? Sorry, I'm new at this.
Hey clmorning. I tend to mine by basically 'Quarrying' a large section of land in a square, removing each layer. I've noticed that when I follow the dirt 'paths' they tend to end in ores. I think this is because most natural caves have ores in them, and these tunnels are basically the natural ones, but filled with dirt/gravel
Thanks. I've hit the mother load of coal and iron ore. Well over a 100 pieces of each so far and it just keeps going.
HAHAHH. Follow the dirt my friends, follow the dirt. I found a boat load of coal, iron ore, redstone and a few diamonds. Then all of a sudden I come across a cavern with water and lava. Yeah, I'll follow the dirt from now on. hahahha

Thanks for the tip.
