While I love the game, and the new way to craft items is nice, I still do miss the old crafting method on the PC. I prefer the PC way, since its more faster and "natural" to me. So I was wondering, what if they allowed you to craft in both ways?
- When you open you inventory, good ol' 2x2 crafting is there
- When accessing a crafting bench, there is a tab for the old crafting method
I don't really see a big problem in doing this, and I'm sure a lot of other PC players of Minecraft would be happy to have this feature as well.
What are your thoughts on this? Any further suggestions for this? I'd like to see what others think. d:
They won't do it. It would be too clunky and take to long with a controller.
I don't really want to fumble with my overreacting joystick like I do when moving in my inventory, while crafting. The newer crafting is easier, smoother, and faster than the PC versions. And it's probably going to stay as the only way to craft.

They've already said that they tried to do this, but the old crafting menu was too cumbersome because you'd have to use the thumbstick or the d-pad to move items into the crafting grid, does that really sound fun to you? I'll stick to the new crafting menu.
Not necessarily. I usually have a hell of a time looking for what I want to craft witht he way they categorize and hide some items.
Everything is easy to find in my opinion. Building Materials, Tools & Weapons, Food, Armor, Mechanisms, Transport, and Decorations.
I'm a 2 year running PC player and I found everything easily. Everything fits into each category they've placed it in. That's just my opinion. I can craft faster and easy in the Xbox version than I could on the PC version.
I hope they don't. The last thing they need is people bitching at them that they can't play single player on an SDTV because the crafting menu is too cluttered. >_>

It's a 2x2 square in your inventory, not a 4x4.
