I've gone around my entire map looking for the stupid clay. I've spent hours going around in boats, looking under the water, swimming in nearly every body of water in my world, even looking in caverns, and I have not found one single block of clay!
So where is it? I need bricks =\
Also, I've explored probably 20+ surface caverns so far (I don't think there's very many left... the map's not that big) and I have yet to find a single dungeon. I've also mined from one side of the map to the other numerous times, and still no dungeons. I NEED THAT SADDLE! Sigh... And my world seems to have very little iron. In my 48+ hours playing so far, I've only found about 60 iron ores... Sooo...

About the clay:
In 1.6, clay would ONLY spawn if the X and Y coordinates (I believe) are the same...pretty stupid.
Wow. So I can't use clay, bricks, or pistons... sighhh. This is awesome.
And another thing... What's redstone good for, without pistons? Just buttons to open doors, which you could already open without the buttons. Great.
Its good for rave rooms. But if you want a good one you are going to need a good 20 stacks. Another thing there are lots of guides on youtube on how to get the saddle super easy there are so many seeds you can type in and they spawn you right next to a dungeon. With a saddle in the chest. Also if you use the seed iron you get a lot of it. I used that for my attempt at getting the on a rail achievement. Which since I'm on the subject is another use for redstone. Making powered rails to get the achievement.

4j said the next update will be 1.7.3, so we''l get pistons, and the clay will be far more ubundant
