coordinates for the tunnel filled with diamond goodies is (X -192,Y - 65, Z-73) when you get there look down you should see a long tunnel with glowstone that might need to your death due to loss of air when coming back up.
I dont know if anyone has found this yet or not, but if you climb up to the side of the big "Minecraft" sign, there will be a leaver there. When you hit the leaver, a wall opens and leads you to a nether portal. I thought it was pretty cool.
Has anybody managed to find sugar cane in the tutorial world? I was going to turn it into my main world but not being able to find sugar cane is a deal breaker
I found sugar cane, it was actually next to a house lol, out in the open. Coordinates are X: -126 Y: 65 Z: 6
There's also lava right next to the surface. When you go through the tunnel to the first town, turn to the left and start digging into the side of the hill behind the houses. I'm interested in seeing what they've added to the tutorial world with this new patch.

Yes, apparently it's been added in the '1.7.3' version of the tutorial world. Pretty sure you have to start a new one after you update in order to get it. Tutorial worlds from before the update won't have it.
Its under your post but be careful getting in and out. In will require you to have maximum air bubbles and you could lose health moving forward towards the chest. For out, try a staircase mine to get out with your diamond pick.

Use a stack of sand to sand-drop in safely. I'd advise making two stacks so you can place ladders on the second stack on the way down. The ladders will hold the water back off of you allowing you to breath and give you a fast way back out. No more death!
So the nether portal inside the "Minecraft" has always been there but if you load a new one (tutorial world) there is now a lever on the side of it that makes pistons activate to reveal the door for it, the light house right in front of the castle (first version) has been removed on the updated one . those are the main big changes I've noticed so far

there is a minecart out side a house in the second village with a flower inside it, i just stumbled upon the coordinates are 79, 73, 5
and also where the tutorial area there is a big hollowed out bottom dig down 2 or 3 blocks at 17, 71, 0 and you will see it
have you gone up to the wool structure that says minecraft since the update? there is a badass netherportal room in there. unless it was there before the update and i never noticed it lol

There's also a chest in there with some iron ingot and a couple bowls and other random.... Not so special stuff.
