Hey everyone, new here. Anyways, I tried the MC XBOX 360 demo, and I absolutely loved it. Thing is, I'm spending 20 bucks on it, and it's only at Beta 1.6.6. Can someone please reassure, are the future updates going to be free, or are they going to be an additional "only 400 MC Points!"? Also, do you think we'll have to pay for creative when it comes out? Thanks alot.
Day it came out for 360 they said on twitter that they plan on updating it to the present pc version, couple hours later they tweeted again saying they're only updating to 1.7, due to a overwhelming amount of people complaining.
ALL XBL title updates are free. If the developers release a broken game, do you really think they would make us pay to be able to play without their f**k ups? Yes, the developers have to pay to release title updates, but we don't.
People need to stop worrying & take the time to untangle their panties.
Have you ever paid for a title update (the ones where you start the game and it asks/tells you to update)? As far as I know, no game on xbl charges for updates. DLC sure, but I don't think they'll be doing DLC (as in 'expansions' for Minecraft, as they dont exist for PC.
The updates will be free, and IF not, i'm pretty sure if we all refuse to buy them/complain then they'll be forced to make them free. The consumer holds the power.
Additionally, if they add texturepacks/maps/mods, I think these would be free also, because I doubt many people want ones made by 4J (no offence) but would rather have the same ones as on PC which are fan-made.
as far as the texturepacks/maps/mods thing goes, that really does depend on how it is approached. I can see some Microsoft Games specific themed textures/maps/mods being offered for a price, and honestly that would would be par for the course on XBL.

1.8 and onwards is terrible. Don't go there.
