So i was excited seeing that there was a release of MC for the 360. Being that I am an alpha player, and run a personal server for myself and friends to use I know how to play the game and created a world to start checking out the game. I couldnt find this issue on the forum, i promised i looked, but has anyone else had trouble with water source blocks not flowing correctly? or at all? I am aware the game is behind patch wise compared to PC (Which I hope they catch things up fast) but im not sure it has anything to do with it. I made a bucket, went outside, picked the water up, came inside, and tried to place the water. I was in the process of making an indoor farm with sugar cane, wheat, etc. Once the source block hits the floor its poofs. No water flow, no water block. I ran back and fourth a few times (trial and error) and still same thing. I havent checked with lava yet just because i havent gotten that far. I also went outside to the pond i was using to get my source blocks and began takign them out and randomly placing them anywhere. Water just isnt working. Is it just me? or normal until a fix?
I'm getting the same thing. Try standing farther away from your source block, and place the water on the top surface of the block, never on the side of one. This solved the problem for me.

No fix for me :/ It dosent matter what surface, top or side. If i place water down it just poofs. even standing in 1 spot looking up into the sky and hitting left trigger makes me lose the water in my bucket. Im guessing water is currently bugged in the game in general
They've made it so you can't place water or lava too close to your original spawn point to avoid respawn issues. I'm not sure of the exact distance, but try moving farther away until it lets you place the water.

Thankyou this seems to be the issue. i was unaware that i was near the spawn point at all. Going further away makes the water act like normal.
