So everybody's angry about the tiny worlds now, seriously it was BILLIONS of blocks and now it's 1,000... Anyways, I saw somewhere that in the next update the world size would increase. Is this true or did I read wrong?

Sorry to be a smart ass but 1000x1000x1000 = 1,000,000,000 Its not billions but simply 1 billion.
I too think that the 1000x1000x1000 is a bit small for minecraft. I was thinking more along the lines of at least 2000x2000x2000
it still is a good size to start with though

It's not 1000x1000x1000
It's 1000x1000x128. But that is still 128 million block spaces.
It is much smaller on the Xbox. In all honesty however, I've been playing nothing but 5 player Co-op and the maps don't even really seem that small unless you go looking for the edge. Especially if you get a seed with massive mountains like the glacier seed. I'm perfectly fine with the world size, and I even own and have played the PC version for 2 years.
Well I don't use a lot of space also, but another problem is if you mine a lot you'll run out of ores like diamonds and redstone fairly quickly. And it does cut down on exploring a lot, but I guess the free map makes up for it all xD But still, even if it gets upgraded to 2,000x2,000 I'll be happy, 'cause I love mining!

Also, the world size hasn't been an issue for me yet. I'm having loads of fun.
Trust me, I still get lost in these smaller worlds. I have a horrible sense of direction.
isnt in 1000x1000x128?

EDIT: Darn you Johnson!
Xbox: 1024 x 1024 x 128
