Yes, same issue XBOX360 . We went to the Nether several times then it locked up. We usually play 1-3 players. The entire screen freezes and all functions lock, the only way to reset it is unplug the Xbox. I hope they fix this soon. We tried going in alone, then with 2, then 3 , it's locked completely now. It's very frustrating because we were looking forward to it, now we are completely shut out of the World.
Just a thought. Have the host start the game (I assume you're saying the host is one of the three players now stuck in the nether). With a separate controller, create a new offline profile on your XBox and have this player join the game for the first time (local splitscreen) or alternatively get a brand new online player to join your game for the first time. That player should spawn in the overworld at the initial spawn point.
Have that "new" player dismantle the old portal in the overworld and build a new one. At the same time, have the player already in the nether dismantle the portal in the nether. Have the "new" player activate the portal in the overworld and come through to the nether. This should generate a new portal in the nether that will, hopefully, not freeze when being used by the players to exit the nether.
so ive herd the tu7 fixed the entering nether freeze glitch. since the more recent tu8 i havent been able to get into the nether without freezing. ihave tried all the different susposed fixes. just wondering if there is anthing i should try. miqnly because th same time i downloaded the new update is when this bug got me.

Just a thought. Have to tried re-downloading the last update or perhaps even re-downloading the game including all the updates? (i.e. maybe you're the vicitim of a bad download?)
Ok, I just got Minecraft for 360. My memory is practically empty (it's the elite w/ 120gb hard drive)
I played for a month (not online) going in and out of the nether, single player and things were fine. Then two things happened between my last jump to the nether and the first crash trying to go in...
I have a world where the portal spawned on a ledge with an entrance to a fortress right there. Me and my brother can't get there anymore because of the crash. All other worlds work fine. Please come up with a patch soon.
I have experienced this recently. I have a world that I've been into and out of the nether many times, now all of a sudden it is crashing every time I try to enter the nether.

You may have a ghast fireball stuck in your portal. Go a long, long ways away and build a new portal in the overworld and try entering the nether via it. A new portal should be then created in the nether in a different location than the first. Go to the first portal inside the nether and destroy it completely. Then go back to the second portal location and re-enter the overworld via your second, new portal. Then, go to your first portal in the overworld and try re-entering the nether through it. A new portal in the first location should generate in the nether.
Alternatively, you can try manually rebuilding the portal uin the first location while you are still in the nether. If you light it and enter it from the nether side, it should bring you out into the overworld through your first portal.
Good Luck!
