So, I'm not sure if this is an Easter Egg or a bug, considering I have run into many bugs, I guess it is a possibility. When I put a gold helmet on, I noticed rather than adding a helmet the Steve (or variation of) gets a slight growth in the size of his head, hahaha. Also, I'm not sure if this is related to the helmet or if it is a bug on its own, but now when I hit mobs (all mobs, hostile and peaceful) they are given armor. The creeper I was fighting had what looked like gold armor when I hit him, then it was gone within a few seconds (and this could have been unrelated aswell, or due to me being used to the current build, and the damage ratings, but when the creeper exploded it seemed to deal a lot more damage than it should have. I died from its explosion and was currently at full health, and i had iron chest piece, iron boots, and a gold helmet at the time of detonation, hahaha) The skeletons and pigs both display red armor for that brief moment, and I'm not sure about the other mobs..
In conclusion I think the gold helmet giving the player a big head is an easter egg, and I intend to make a full set of gold armor to see if anything else is hidden. (a buddy had a gold sword, and from my perspective it didnt seem to have any special attributes...)
*I plan on taking a screen shot of this gold helmet in effect within the hour, and I will then update this post with said screenshot...
So after more playing around with the game, I ended up making a gold chest piece, and when I put on said chest piece, sure enough it made my chest region simply larger. However I come to this post to say that I now believe it to actually be a bug and not an easter egg, as the bug wore off from time to time, and it would show up as normal gold armor, and when my buddy wore it, it appeared to be iron armor. Hahahaha, just a bunch of craziness, anyway, those pics will be up soon
