So I am completely fine with the world size being limited to the size it is, as it is still large enough for my needs, however when I went to the nether I was extremely disappointed. My friend and I made our portal right next to spawn and after walking for about a minute in the nether on the hunt for glowstone, we ran into a bedrock wall. We found this odd, and as we walked a little further we saw in the distance another bedrock wall. At this point, we could actually see both bedrock walls which face each other.
The nether is only a sixth the size of the regular world, meaning it is downright puny. This has now made glowstone a scarce resource. I hope that if the regular world size isn't increased enough to make the nether significantly larger, that they abandon the 1:6 nether/world relationship in order to make the nether more appropriately sized.
I'm disappointed about this just got the game today and haven't had a chance to explore the nether yet. I
figure the size ratio is to keep the movement ratio equal to travel in overworld like it is in the PC version. The obviously didn't realize the issues of keeping that coding.

They changed the ratio from 1:8 to 1:3. I would have liked 1:2 or even 1:1 better, but meh.

GENERATION 28: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the
generation. Social experiment.
then you obviously havent been there yet, you can see wall to wall, its ridiculous
I have been there in both of my friends worlds so yes I have been there. I just don't have many uses for glowstone considering we don't have potions/brewing.
I could swear it was 1/3rd the size of the overworld. They tweaked the distance traveled (which makes sense), from 1 block in nether is 8 in over world to 1 block is 3. Hence the 1/3rd...
I haven't been to the nether yet however, but I rarely went there to begin with.

Yes, that is the only use for it.
