The end will not be in the downloadable content area. Downloadable content will be Skins/Texture packs. The end will come in version 1.9 should they choose to update like a PC did.
Don't ask us a question then tell us to prove it when we give you the damned answer. Be glad the guy in the first reply, PoeticWhisper, and I even bothered to answer at all.
Stop being stupid. The End is a part of the official Minecraft game on PC so it will be an official part of the game on 360 and NOT DLC. Use your freaking brain.

I'm usually not trying to be rude. So if a post comes across that way then sorry :]
Patches aren't updates because that implies that the only time a game is updated is when a fix for a problem is released.
They are called updates because ANYTHING added to the game or changed in the game is included. Not just problems being fixed. So patches are updates. Not the other way around.
DLC in games can also be anything. Maps, weapons, skins, texture packs, ect.
In this case though anything that is currently an official part of the PC version of MC will be added as an update to the 360 version of Minecraft. Not as DLC.
