Ok, so I joined a game with some people possibly from the friends network. I built a house and made tools. Then, this dude starts accusing me of stealing his stuff, even though he was AFK long before I even joined. He comes to me, and then starts destroying my house. I call that griefing. So, I retaliate by hitting him a few times, not knowing of his minuscule health amount. He dies, then starts getting angry. He then keeps threatening to kill me over and over again. I realize that he did work for his things, so I dig a hole and put his stuff and my stuff included into it. I tell him everything he had is in there, and he kills me anyway. He then starts saying that I took even MORE stuff from him, despite me not dropping anything upon death. He was so angry that he kicked me. Did I do something wrong, or was I simply unlucky to join after a diamond thief left?
