I realize there are more threads on this topic but id like to help get the message around to some. 4j studios has advertised splitscreen as the big feature in the game of course they never said anything about needing a hdtv with 720p to use this feature. Many sdtv users dont even find out we cant use it intill we actually have bought the game! Now alot of people such as myself are outraged by this "False Advertising" I believe something should be done about this!
Its already bad enough that they blocked sdtv users from using its biggest feature but seriously they neglected to tell anyone. By the time they said anything millions of users such as myself had already purchased the game. But now they wont even give the majority of the people refunds, but even then they wont get there money back just the microsoft points.
And personally im outraged by this as their excuse is "It states in game that you require a hdtv 720p and a hdmi cable in order to run it, but its still false avertising since they never mentioned anything of this manner. I was following everything on this game and was really excited and had planned to have some friends over to play.
Well when they finally came over thats when i found out and i threw my controller as i bet many others have. And i could find a long list of people such as myself who believe they need to do somthing about this or **** is going to go down.
And for any of you people against this dont even bother saying anything like "Oh just go buy one there cheap, welcome to the 21st century!" If your one of those people dont even bother im tired of this.
Mate, I hate to say it, because this affected me as well, but this isn't false advertising.
False advertising would be the act of saying "This game can be played on ANY TV," and to my knowledge they did not mention anything about requirements. False advertising is not the act of the customer being dissatisfied with their product.
Good day :3
Telling people to check Twitter is not a good argument.
I'm not sure if this is false advertising or simply incomplete advertising, but either way, it does seem a bit of a jerk move. Why not just enable split-screen at all resolutions and be done with it? I can't think of any reason for it to be impossible.

I agree, like total miner is basicly the same and they allow 4 player splitscreen on any sdtv or hdtv
They said is has spilt-screen and it does. So no it is no false advertising.
We all know it has splitscreen but you obviously dont get the point! They blocked sdtv users from having access to the main feature of the game without telling the majority of people, and now people cant even get there money back to spend it on somthing more worthwhile
I sense a update coming to give everybody what they want. It could have been the plan all along. They said it looks terrible, You all would have too, but they knew you would all beg for it anyway. BAM! Even though it doesn't work well, your happy with it and with 4J for listening. Then you realized you were just played.
I don't see how its false advertising.
Yes they didn't say it was required And they never said it didn't.
It's very misleading through, someone would instantly assume that splitscreen could be played on any TV they had hooked up to their xbox. The requirement for splitscreen is very specific.

Yes, but some people don't follow 4J, and it would have made more sense to say it in the description.
Think my post is helpfull, hillarious or just plain likeable? Freaking hit the green UP arrow down there, or else.

I couldn't care less (Yes I said couldn't, if I could it would mean I had even the tiniest bit of care, get it right people) about splitscreen.
Me: Facepalm
Dude, I was in the middle of writing that when you posted it. It is a jerk move, but it is what they thought would sell it.
But they never said it only worked only on HDTV's with HDMI.

They're not informing us that it specifically requires an HDTV with HDMI to play it, so it's very misleading

When the main menu splash text says "Larger than Earth!".
Also, I use my computer's monitor for both my xbox and pc, so I don't have any problems with it.
