This is my first post, and i decided to make it a question.
And the Question is:
(BTW, this question has been asked by a lot of people)
Will Minecraft for Xbox 360 Have Updates?
and will it catch up with the Current Minecraft Update Version. (1.2.5)
Because there are a lot of glitches and a lot of things that need to be fixed,
i understand this is just 1.6.6 and all, but since you guys already have the PC versions up and going
i understand that you guys just have to Code them into Xbox Format.
Hopefully this doesn't take to long, and i wish you guys best of luck xD
Of course we'll have more updates They will match it to the PC version in time (I didnt understand why it was released in a pre-version anyways though....) But yeah!
Alright, that's cool, lets just hope they do it fast.
I think they said something like, every couple of months? I could be wrong, I remember multiple people saying it, but people around here lie occasionally.
As for updates... They said the next update will be to version Beta 1.7.x. Then after that will only be updated to the major updates. (So they're not gonna update to snapshots, or pre-releases. And there probably won't be tons of little bug fix updates either. They'll probably just update/fix everything at once unless they're huge major bugs that NEED fixing)
I doubting they are going to have big chunk updates, because:
If you ever played the game Total Miner on Xbox.
They had updates aswell, but they could not have BIG updates because of the space they are aloud to use since it was just an Indie game
But this is an Arcade game, so maybe it will get more space? i'm not sure, i don't work for microsoft so i don't know how this all works.

I'm sorry to tell you but the reason they are so far behind on the xbox variant is because the coding is VERY different. its not like they can just copypasta the code to the xbox it is a lot of work to convert it.
also they probably wont include the cross platform play like they originally intended, at least for quite a while

Yeah, the 360 doesn't have Java.
As for cross platform play. I don't see it happening unless they make the worlds the same size as those in the PC version. which is just a limitation on the console.

"Indie Game" Minecraft is not counted as an indie game.
I doubt it will go straight to 1.2.5, probably the first update will bring the Adventure update, Then 1.0.0 and Maybe then 1.2.X But probably from that point on it will be each incremental update. 1.1, 1.2, and so forth till we get caught up.

Minecraft is an Arcade game. Indie games are limited in scope. Also, check the size of the Minecraft.jar on pc. its still tiny after all these additions. I don't see the updates being over 200megs a pop, however I don't know what they need to do to update the xbox version.

The original plan was to update it where it is now on PC, but then a bunch of people complained about it so they said there only going to update it to 1.7.....
I dont if it means anything but I looked through the files of the game and it has a folder called 1_2_2, and it also has the contents of the pc version 1.2.2 as in terrain, items, etc.
