Ok i just bought the xbox version, and started a world in normal, i turned a corner and saw an open grassy field in front of a small island in the sky and there were 15 creepers just standing there looking at me. I left and came back and they had scattered a little so i made a house and looked back outside, more creepers. Has anyone else noticed that they seem to spawn much more frequently in the xbox version? Unless theres a spawn box (are those even in this version?) somewhere close to the surface.
