Sadly, the only way to play local with friends is if your X360 is connected to an HDMI port. If your using AV Cables (white, yellow and red cables), it wont allow you to play Splitscreen
Dont have an HDTV? Most new Laptops/Desktop Screens should have HDMI Ports, Just plug the xbox into the screen/laptop using the HDMI Cable
Dont know if you have an HDMI Cable? Ask your parents if you do!
Dont have an HDMI Cable? Buy one from pretty much any electronics store, if your a good shopper you should be able to find one for under $10, if all else fails, buy one from Gamestop
Thanks for the tip, my brother and I have been wondering why it doesn't allow us to play splitscreen, and this is definately why. I just checked on amazon, and you can get an HDMI cable for only $10.00!
You DO NOT need a HDMI cable, it works with the HD component cable (the one with six plugs). Will people please stop putting that you need a HDMI cable.
To all the people who thinks they need a HDMI cable, dont buy it.
You only need the cable if your TV is 480 or lower. If your TV is 720, just set your Xbox to HD mode in the console setting. Thank you all. And good day.

I am really surprised there are so many people still using SDTV to play Xbox on...
