only if you dont take care of it i had a halo 3 limited edition for 5 years then sold it to my friend he kept using for another 1-2 years before it died then i had an elite that lasted 2 years cause it got dr.pepper spilled on it and now i have had a slim for 6 months
Take out the hardrive if the game still freezes than it was just coincidence. Otherwise, it is stilla coincidence the game should not mess up your xbox. Also there is a 0.0000001% chance they will refund you, that .000000001 percent chance is if this happens to 20,000 other people..
My old one bit the dust all of a sudden. Wouldn't recognize any controllers, wired or wireless, on startup. Tried everything. Mine wasn't old either.

I am quite sure that games cannot corrupt your console. If it doesn't work even after taking out your hard drive then it is just pure coincidence as many have said on this forum post already.
looks like your thermal paste went bad on your CPU chip. take it in to be repaired or this is lots of YouTube videos on how to do it your self. i repaired tons of them. at start up if your having problems this will fix it.
also try to blow out the dust so the heat sinks are clean to keep the xbox cool. if you blow out the dust and alot comes out, this is your fault. you over heated your own xbox due to lack of maintenance

Actually game and System Updates can corrupt your console if something happens during the download that you are unaware of.
This will clear your system updates ( Should include game patches as well )
With the console off, press and hold the sync up button (the small white one)
While holding the sync button press the power button to turn on the console
Continue to hold the sync button until the Console has booted up completely.
During the boot process the console should clear any failed updates, allowing you to use it normally.
Chances are if this doesn't work its because your console is dying. Or you didn't follow the directions.
I can turn it on, it just freezes in the bootup screen
Don't know if you will understand this but if you have "The old xbox with the old style hdd" just get a transfer cable, and download xport or which one you find and just delete the minecraft game from your content folder, if you can't do this or your too lazy then sorry but if you can try it and if it doesn't work then call microsoft. I doubt they will replace your xbox then but if you have a warranty on it they will. But you could pay them cheap to repair it....

i went to sleep and woke up, i the proceded to play the next day but every time i would stop playing my xbox would freeze.... i dunno i wouldnt say it corrupted my xbox... but maybe minecraft just dosnt want us to stop playing lol!!!

Got a new xbox slim. No problem.

Do you have a disk inserted?
(You can take it out before the xbox logo starts to freeze I think)
Do you have the Core? Pro? Arcade? Elite? Maybe something wrong with the type you have?
Did you do any damage to your Xbox?
Is the cooler / heater whatever NOT BLOCKED?
If it is , the system will not work.
Try to NOT touch the xbox for a day, and check the next day!
