Sorry for the caps in the title, but please tell me I'm not the only one thinking the placement of the drop button is stupid? I mean, B is right next to A, Y and X, and it's one of the commonly pressed buttons on the controller, and one of the easiest to accidentally click. I keep dropping my sword, pick, map, etc. and it's annoying as heck. Please, Mojang/4J?

Honestly, it's not hard to not push. Learn the controls. Know that B drops things and don't push it. I have never accidentally pushed it while playing yet.
