Minecraft is all about the multiplayer and being able to just join in on any game that is open to joining.In my opinion the easiest way for everyone to stay in touch via xbl is to create a community xbl name for minecraft and everyone who like minecraft add that name. Once you are added you can easily join games in progress from other players who have the same community xbl named added aswell. I have seen this method used with Halo:Reach for Custom infection games and it worked like a charm.

yeah ur right the users might b a bit overwhelming lol but i still really think this would b an awsome idea just wanna make sure people are with it before i do anything....
The biggest problem I can see happening is someone would have to pay for those live accounts. Think, $60.00 a year for like 3-4 accounts. You'd need a fair share to cash to keep it going. If 4J wants to make this idea, they can. That'd be great, but I don't think it's practical for someone off the street. It's a great Idea though none of the less.

Not really a problem, actually. The account doesn't need to be gold to add friends, and doesn't actually need to be online for you to find people by viewing it's friend list. Someone just needs to make the account on their Xbox and post it (And check it regularly to accept incoming friend requests). Though I think they should be regional and posted in a stickied thread.

strong point it can b a silver acctount and just be used to simply keep the names like you said and regionals will most likely be needed due to the vast amount of users worldwide.... but i hope this can be achieved sometime soon....
After playing minecraft for a while now with a buddy he brought the idea up about having a xbox running all the time (i have a extra one collecting dust )to keep the world on until they have servers or something of that nature ...
before you guys go crazy about burning a xbox up its old and i can care less for it... the ******* dont read games lol
