Right now, guests are not allowed to play split screen, you need two or more accounts with XBL GOLD to play it.
This is the only thing that bugs me in the xbox version.
I wanted the console version for split-screen, so I could play with my brother, since he was overjoyed that it was coming out on the xbox, so he could play with me.
Now that it's required that he needs to use another account, he can't play.
I only use one account on my Xbox, and I'm certainly not going to make another and pay for Gold on it.
Is there a legitimate reason 4J didn't want guests playing?
This left a bad taste in my mouth after I played it, to be honest.
It clearly states that Guests are not allowed to play, and that I need to use another account, every-time I press anything with my second controller.
Oops, let me specify. I mean you have to be in a offline world or it won't work. But still, I don't think that is working properly either. That is what I meant. It is kinda dumb that you can't sign in as a guest like CoD but in that you don't have your own invintory save. I think it is policy that if anything saves just for the guest apart from the rest of the players it must be a gold account.
well they should update this and it should have been in the first release. it may be this "bug" was done by microsoft to get everyone to sign up for a gold account who knows. doesnt matter to me right now.

It's not, I tried offline.

I don't think this was a plan for major profit....
I hope 4J adds guests in the next update.

All you have to do is sign in with a silver account on the second controller and a prompt will come up saying that account cannot play multiplayer and you'll be switched to a guest account.

What?
Then why wouldn't we able to use guests the normal way?
if your GUEST makes an XBOX account on your console, NOT an XBOX LIVE account, it will work, i have been doing it all day, no problems, one gold, one silver/regular account
Okay, I'm actually fairly new to the Xbox account system. But I have a regular free Xbox live account (Which I purchased the game off of), and my brother has a regular local Xbox account and we play split screen perfectly.... (You still have to have a paid account to play over the internet, which sucks, but I bet thats a Microsoft policy)
Edit: I haven't actually used a "Guest" account yet.

And the second account wold require a new e-mail, correct?
That's what I hate.

I'm not sure.

Think my post is helpfull, hillarious or just plain likeable? Freaking hit the green UP arrow down there, or else.

The thing is, I don't use others accounts. I've only used one in my entire time of playing xbox.
And i'm pretty sure nobody I know would care to give me their password.
Wouldn't it require making a new e-mail?
I hate muddying things up.

Dafuq.
You were playing with two different accounts, you weren't playing with a guest.
