A agree with everything you've said. Aside from what you've mentioned the only thing I can recommend is making all future updates optional, we don't have the luxury of modding out the features we don't like (hunger, new terrain, new combat system, breeding (not having passive animals respawn more specifically), and enchanting) like we do on PC.
- Some form of world sharing (maybe if it means pre-approved worlds or something) but some sort of world share where you can download user worlds or what and explore them would be nice.
- better view distance
- some form of anti allasing? would be nice. or a better form of it.

AA is out of the question, because it eats up resources, and with consoles, resources are spent on much higher priority tasks.
I would like to see the option to craft manually.. Not really a fan of the new crafting interface. I feel i could do it faster with a cursor and grid..Total Miner does this and it works fine...
The splitscreen looks to be the only issue. The inventory and crafting works quite well, suprisingly.
You do realize that you can guide the cursor with the thumbstick and it autolocks onto boxes when it stops? So you can get up four spaces as fast as you want, without the issue of flying over the top like with just the scrolling boxes.

- Sprinting
- Custom Skins (Not sure if they are already doing this)
- No cursor on inventory menu
Not much else I want. I like most of the game so far.

I would rather have the old 2x2/3x3 grid as well. It would be a nice option. It could be made to work well with controller, too. Hover over the item you want to use, press X to put it in the grid, move it around, doneski. My cursor moves really fast, not sure if it's because my sensitivity is high or not, but sometimes I craft the wrong thing because it goes past/just before the item I want and I hit craft without double-checking.
It could definitely be implemented with the right set up, but they keep saying it doesn't work right. (A big reason they give is they don't want users to have to go to the wiki, but for veterans it would be a great feature.) If they were serious about making it an option I would more than gladly make up a well thought-out layout/scheme for it.

Of course I realize that... I've been playing non-stop since 9am haha. It's just too sloppy of a control for me. I'd rather have something absolute like the function of the DPad but mapped to the right thumbstick.
What else would they do without redoing the entire inventory system? You don't even need to use the curser. You can select inventory slots using the D-pad.
Reposting this from a similar thread.
Just played the demo, there's 3 things that I feel are absolutely necessary.
1. Standard definition support. Try playing on a non-widescreen monitor/TV and everything is stretched and looks terrible.
2. make the HUD smaller and remove the buttons from the bottom left, the HUD takes up way too much space and the on screen buttons are totally pointless for anything but the tutorial. They're just taking up space.
3. The ability to completely customize button schemes. None of the 3 options they've given us are comfortable for me.
If they just fixed the constant crashing and saving issues, I'll be a happy man.

So far I love it! I like the simplicity that it has now since there is no mine shafts, brewing, enchanting, or any of that new stuff. The only major things I want added are pistons, sprinting, and watermelons. All of the new stuff made the game too much.
Please keep this based on improving the user's experience. Don't post if you want to "suggest" you start with a full set of armor or basic tools, etc.
From me, I want to see the following improvements:
Make the thumbstick movement to look around less clunky. For reference, I'll suggest how CoD handles it.
Remove the cursor for inventory altogether. This is a console game, dude. Does not work well with a thumbstick. Instead just have it select a square. For instance, pressing the thumbstick upward will move it up 1 square.
Improve the game world size... I've yet to see a good reason why this can't be done...
Customizable button layout. Right now, I find it very anti-intuitive to use the left trigger as use, but as there are only 3 predefined layouts, none of them fit my needs. They will need to change it anyway, as how could we run in the next update? All of the buttons besides the DPad are mapped out. (Don't even think about using the DPad for running... If forced to keep the current configuration I would remap the camera angle button to DPad and put the sprint button there, but the current configuration has its flaws already.)
1. This is not CoD, its minecraft, turn your sensitivity down.
2. They added the cursor (1) For the PC effect which many people like myself enjoy and (2) So you can drop stacks instead of holding B
3. This is in Beta 1.6, don't suspect everything to be out like it is now on PC version, its not possible (well I'm sure it is but they have been trying hard to get this game out because everyone wanted it badly) but if you think it is then go create your own game like minecraft and let people rant about it.
4. Why don't you let some updates out before making a rant about **** you don't like, so far I love the controls man. But if you would wait just a few weeks or so I'm sure there will be more options.
I understand these are you opinions but those were mine, if you wanna rant about that then go ahead but what are you proving? Its not like the devs of mcx360 is gonna say: WOW!!! Lets do everything he just said!!!!! >_<
Customizable controls I definitely agree with, even though I'm really digging the second control scheme, I really do wish I had the triggers set like the first one instead of being reversed.
As for world size, so far it's good for 4 people, but the game can benefit from a slightly bigger world, maybe just double the size and zoom out the map a bit so you can still see the entire world?
Control wise, I use southpaw and it's actually pretty smooth for me, I adjusted it to 115% and seems to be perfect for me.
I definitely would like some sort of share option for worlds that aren't yours. I thought this was an option available before, and maybe it's still planned, but I think people would like to have a copy of a world that they have been working on so that they can do what they want with it.
Traveling around will obviously get updated with sprinting and whatnot, and all other grievences is more or less just the fact that I'm dealing with a 1 year old version that I grown out of in light of the adventure update.
I agree, you should be able to customize controls however you want them. That being said I do love the game its just so hard to play 1.6.6 now without Redpower and Thaumcraft and all the other wonderful mods that add life to the game. I really hope they are able to get Texturepacks and Mods going though I dont know how well Microsoft Cert will allow mods to come out unless they are completely stable. I suppose we all have to hang tight and see what the future holds!
Also like everyone else says, the world size is just way too small, specially since it can have up to 8 ppl in the world. I also hope the map share function gets added for those wonderful adventure maps all the smart MC'ers come up with. I think one of the biggest draws of the Xbox version over PC is mainly how smoothly it runs in both MP and SP, computer vary widely and Java isnt the most pleasant platform.
I think the standard def problem is mainly because it isnt legible but also because SD TV's are almost becoming as scarse as VCR's I mean HDTV's are right around the 300 range for some now days so I assume that would be one of the reasons, though it isnt right to exclude people for hardware, but its even worse in the PC market and those parts are alot more expensive than a TV and a wider variety of people cant play due to that.
