Please keep this based on improving the user's experience. Don't post if you want to "suggest" you start with a full set of armor or basic tools, etc.
From me, I want to see the following improvements:
Make the thumbstick movement to look around less clunky. For reference, I'll suggest how CoD handles it.
Remove the cursor for inventory altogether. This is a console game, dude. Does not work well with a thumbstick. Instead just have it select a square. For instance, pressing the thumbstick upward will move it up 1 square.
Improve the game world size... I've yet to see a good reason why this can't be done...
Customizable button layout. Right now, I find it very anti-intuitive to use the left trigger as use, but as there are only 3 predefined layouts, none of them fit my needs. They will need to change it anyway, as how could we run in the next update? All of the buttons besides the DPad are mapped out. (Don't even think about using the DPad for running... If forced to keep the current configuration I would remap the camera angle button to DPad and put the sprint button there, but the current configuration has its flaws already.)
I don't have th game yet. It's downloading, but these all seem like fair changes, as for map size, we shall see what happens in th future.
Well, when you finish downloading and start playing, and notice some fundamental annoyances, come on back and post about them. (Unless it's associated with the the current Minecraft version, or is something I said not to suggest in the OP)
Errr the biggest problem is the lack of SD split-screen support.
My guess is they did that because looking at inventory and the little number associated with each item (and other small things) was/were not legible. I don't think this is a good reason to completely block it, though. That should be up to the discretion of the player, not 4J Studios.
like to point out in the invetory or other gui you can move it one square at a time with the D-pad
I am aware of that, but I'd much rather have a system that utilized the thumbstick, instead of hitting up up up up just to go up 4 spaces, simply holding the thumbstick up would go up at a faster rate.
Another sugestion is to be able to stack meat. and have found that you can only cook about 5 to 6 porkchops with one coal in the xbox version. The pc version you can cook 8 for one coal.

That is something that is addressed in later Minecraft updates, is it not? Either way, that isn't something that is unique to the XBLA edition, which is what this thread is for. Not bugs though, but things such as UI changes.

I agree. As I said a little higher up,

Have character skins and texture packs been announced? I heard they are coming out this summer.
They said they will try to catch up with the PC eventually but i think the updates will be frequent since they already know what the update is.
Not sure if anything has been announced officially regarding skins or texture packs. On the subject of cross platform compatibility, I don't think it won't work because of the updates, because I know they will eventually be on the same page, but mainly because of in the differences of how each game is programmed and how the networking of each game is set up. In order to enable cross platform compatibility, at least one of the games would have to undergo some serious changes under the hood. (I think)
Just include almost everything thats on the PC version thats it for me.
maybe some sort of friend system seprate from XBL.
The game updates aren't really part of the thread, since those will happen in time anyway.
I'm not sure I see the point of a friend system separate from XBL, though. Perhaps if there was cross compatibility, but in it's current state I see no reason.
A while back I actually heard a rumor that the friends list was going to increase in size. That was quite a while back, and a rumor, but I heard it was one of the reasons they shut down the original Xbox servers.
Either way, I've never had a problem with my friends list filling up. I think I'm sitting comfortably at 20 friends in total. I just keep it pruned, so I would say on average 50% of my friends list is online.

This is an issue related to the map size.

Think my post is helpfull, hillarious or just plain likeable? Freaking hit the green UP arrow down there, or else.

I don't know if this will ever be possible, but as a pipe dream it is nice.
