i was upset when i first played this too. no fence gates (which doesn't matter cause farming's practically impossible and making an animal pen is literally impossible) and the animals don't even bat an eye when you hold wheat in their face. not to mention random glitches and how bad they screwed up the crafting. but hey, mojang is gonna release it before fixing anything because obviously partnerships with Microsoft are all about the money. so we'll have to wait for updates before this game is anything compared to pc
that being said though, this insanely watered down version is still 100 times better than TotalMiner: Forge, which i actually enjoyed playing. here's the deal though, TM:F $4, MC... 20 FREAKING DOLLARS, i have Section 8: Prejudice which i would've easily bought on a disc for 50 - 60 bucks and it's only $15 on XBLA, i wince when i see the PC version selling for 20-some, and now i gotta pay 20 for the alpha version?. idk i might just be jaded, but it seems like they could've at least fixed the whole animals randomly spawning in your farm and trampling crops then mysteriously dissappearing thing, seeing as that's a pretty big part of the game
and what's with animals rarely dropping anything and mining iron and VERY rarely getting ore (i mined 9 in a row and got one ore...)
edit: sorry, beta not alpha. but still... it sucks
I hope they expand to at least the very least, 3 times this size, if not 10. I really think that 10 times the size would make 99% of people happy.
forgot to mention this. Castleminer Z and (i think) FortressCraft have constandly expanding, infinite worlds and they've never crashed my Xbox. well.. actually i've never played FortressCraft, but i recall watching a video that i'm pretty sure was FortressCraft and seeing chunks generate by flying up from the ground. but anyway the point is, why couldn't Minecraft just do that? it would make it actually feel like Minecraft anyway
When did you ffs started playing minecraft ? since it seems that you have no knowledge of the development of minecraft, you should just shut up. They worked hard on the game to release it as fast as possible, since the community wanted them to. So what about a few minor bugs that will be fixed. and about the animal farm; IN 1.6 IT WAS NOT IMPLEMENTED YET. just be patient and enjoy the game instead of just nagging about it. and oh about the 20 dollars; thats nothing in comparison to many other games that are 60 or more at the release wich i'd be happy to pay for minecraft not to mention that all the upcoming updates will be free. so please stfu
the updates are free because we already paid for them, genius. my point is they didn't charge $20 for beta and say "oh, it's not worth it now but it will be one day" it's like paying $30,000 for a brand new car and you have to wait a year before they put an engine in it. in case you haven't noticed, Minecraft is on XBLA, not in the indie games section, updates for REAL GAMES are minor patches, not major improvements to the game.
and i started playing when the game became amazing. this version isn't bad, i was just on a rant earlier. the only thing that really angers me is the fact they got away with releasing an incomplete game for the full release price. idc that it will be just as good months from now, the point is there has never been a game this far away from full potential (that i know of) released on XBLA, or disc. ESPECIALLY not for 1600 MS points, but they can pull it off just because of the name Minecraft. cause Microsoft knows idiots like me will throw our money at it even if it is an outdated version
and i love MC, but only an idiot would be willing to pay $60 for it. anyone with a brain would just get Mass Effect 3 instead
I absolutly love the 360 edition. Can't run it properly on my laptop so its very refreshing to see such a smooth presentation. I don't have anyone to play split screen with so if its not working it doesn't bother me in the slightest. Even the map size doesn't seem to bother me , been playing all day and haven't even filled out the entire map yet.

Exactly like this guy.
No good computer, when I did play on the Xbox I have had no problems. Game runs smooth, And i'm pretty addicted to it. I feel bad for the people having problems.

You mean just like they did with the PC Version? Notch has sold Minecraft for a while, and the earlier you got in, the lower the price. And currently the selling price for the PC version (US) is showing right at thirty dollars, so twenty for the Xbox version is a deal with updates promised to newer versions.
Notch has also been about constantly improving the game on the PC, and it will improve dramatically from what I understand in the near future for the XBox, as soon as 4J can get it to done and Microsoft approve it.
Notch has tweeted about EA trying to monetize every aspect of a game up to the air your character breathes, so I don't think he is trying to get something for nothing, and will do what is possible to treat this like the PC franchise within the restrictions of a closed system like the XBox.
Also if we waited for a version to be equal to the PC version, we have a long wait ahead. Especially since Notch is still issuing FREE updates for the PC version for people who have already bought the game. I hope to get myself a PC version soon for those major projects and major explorations.

No matter what your first language was, I will not reply to that grammar.
For some reason it is so much more calming then the PC version I will say, still have to play online with someone though.
Think my post is helpfull, hillarious or just plain likeable? Freaking hit the green UP arrow down there, or else.
Also, here is an awesome suggestion I had: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1745550-biome-effects/
