Lava and water is really glitchy , if you pick it up out of a large area the block it comes from stays empty , and after you try and place it , it just disappears , similarly with lava , so close on making a nether portal as well
I'm noticing the same thing with water. When I'm in the water and removing blocks, the water will sometimes fill up the empty space and other times, it just stops like there is a wall in front of it. I have to add and remove blocks to get the water to flow into that empty space and sometimes it just doesn't work. . I have not found lava yet, so not sure about that.
I've only played local co-op with my friend who bought the game, but here's what we've seen.
Buckets don't collect lava/water right after being crafted. We had to spam the "collect" function before they started to work properly.
Sleeping in beds, with a one block free space around all their borders, still spawns skeletons/zombies in our house. We know the bug, so we made sure not to place them against walls, and in a sealed off house, still got mob spawns every time we tried to sleep.
Not sure if bug or working as intended, but I've had spiders become hostile to me while sitting in my house at night, and attack me when I leave the house in the morning.
this is very annnoying. when i save my world and exit then i go back, EVERYTHING in my inventory, including armor is gone. i had 15 iron blocks, 1 diamond pickaxe, 49 mossy cobblestone, and 3 gold blocks. ****ing pissed rite now. FIX THIS **** OMFG
i can not use the furnace on an online game or an off line game so i cant make my own world cuz i cant do any thing but make wooden stuff plz fix gamer tag is no black crayon
Just in case people are thinking the reported bugs are consistent (and why wouldn't they be, really, as we're all playing on the same hardware), I'm not having most of the problems reported upthread -- no inventory problems, a normal amount of ore (basically identical to the pc version), no bucket problems except making cake, no game freezes, and no issues with water or lava generally (I mean, it's wonky, but again pc-identical).
Mob spawn rates seem a little high, and everyone's reach is greater (mine, zombies, etc), which makes the strike bug more of a problem, as I basically have to get into damaging range in order to land a real hit (and not the flashy-red no-damage thing). Creepers are also super-touchy but I'm playing on a harder difficulty level than usual so I figure that explains that. Spawn rates seem a little high, but again I put it down to difficulty level.
The geographically restricted world is rather unfortunate but I guess not a "bug per se. Early on I headed out in a boat to scout around, and left a sign on a little torch-lit island: <-- HOME / FROZEN NORTHLAND --> . That's how I knew I wasn't mistaken later when, having dug more around the map in other directions, following the sign to the "frozen northland" I'd glimpsed (and really wanted to get to for some giant tree saplings) just led me to an invisible barrier not far off shore with nothing but water in sight (as well as repeated spontaneous boat destruction, which may be a bug).
yah im with you it kinda dumb that you need a HD tV to play mulitiplayer ... that i just cant put my head around it ... but i guess i should up grade my TV anyways
I agree, I think this is the dumbest thing ever!! Having the split screen and multiplayer is one of the MAIN reasons that I got MC on xbox and now I feel like I just wasted money cause we can all play on pc with the laptops.
has anyone ever noticed that sometimes when you place a bunch of wooden stairs(not sure about the others) together like on a roof or something that every now and again 1 or 2 of them glitch out a bit and look like blocks of wooden planks?

Just curious, do you play a lot of modern games on your 360? Pretty much all triple A games made now a days are almost impossible to play on anything but a modern TV with an HDMI cable. I have an old breadbox tv (it's really, really small) and while I could play xbox games on it, I couldn't read any of the text unless I squinted and sat there and tried to figure out what the different letters are. Even on a normal sized older Tv, splitscreen is a hassle. Lends itself fine to shooters, but game like minecraft where you sometimes need to read what you have/are crafting, not so much.
Minecraft 360 is kicking my Live-enabled gamertag offline. Here's what happens:
1) I start my console and sign in using my Live-enabled gamertag. It successfully connects to Live (can see my Friends, etc)
2) I boot up Minecraft
3) Main menu comes up, I select New Game
4) I see a popup that is a standard XBox-style message saying "Gamer Profile Not Online" at the top. The white box portion says, "This game has some features that require an XBox Live enable gamer profile, but you are currently offline." There are two selections at the bottom - "Connect to XBox Live" and "Continue Playing offline".
5) If I select "Connect to XBox Live" it opens the standard XBox profiles login list, which doesn't contain my Live-enabled profile because I'm already signed in with that profile.
6) If I exit out of the game to the console dashboard, I find that the console shows me as signed in to my Live-enabled gamertag, but I'm Offline.
And yes, I did download the update immediately after downloading the game and it worked without errors. I called XBox Live customer support to see if they had seen this issue. The support tech had me delete the game from the harddrive, clear the system cache, restart the console, re-download the game, start it up, apply the update and try again. It still failed in the same way.
When I sign in to another Live-enabled gamertag on the console (my son's) the problem isn't there. Only with my gamertag.
UPDATE - Somehow my profile had become corrupted. This must have happened when attempting to go from the Minecraft demo version to Full game, because I had done nothing else with my console today. I discovered it was a profile corruption because I couldn't do anything on Live with that profile anymore - not use Zune, not go online with Halo Reach. I deleted the profile, and then recovered it from XBox Live using my Windows Live ID and now it's fine. I booted up Minecraft and the game is now working.
My stone steps sometimes turn into cobblestone blocks but they are still as hard to break as stone steps, I wasn't sure if this was actually happening until it happened in front of me once.
I was traveling at top speed on a boat and ran into a chicken. When I hit the chicken I randomly died and got the "Game Over" screen. I returned to where I died and recovered my stuff, the weird thing was that the boat was still intact and the chicken was gone...
So basically instead of the boat breaking against the soft chicken, I just randomly died, and the boat survived.

It seems if you go to the Nether Realm, find a place to hide, place blocks around you and randomly get disconnected, everytime you join that persons world, you will always spawn on top of the Bedrock "cieling" that the nether realm has. You cannot place blocks. You can't start fires, you can't do anything. I am stuck, and will forever be stuck, on top of this bedrock with no way to kill myself or get back down. I now have to somehow convince the other players to start over and throw away the hours of structures we have built here or be forced to play alone while they continue to build without me.
This is one hell of a bug that I am personally frustrated to see. In the PC version, you could console command kill yourself. In the 360 version, there is no solution. Some type of fix would be nice to see. I don't want to have all my work wasted while I contemplate existance on a plane of bedrock.
Well, I went to join a game and it said I didn't own the full game, even though I bought it launch morning. So I had to redownload... all my saves and stuff was still there... Strange glitch...
Cannot sleep without being attacked by spawned monster. Added confined 5 x 8 room, added 20 torches, bed is not next to wall. From everything I read, this must be a glitch. This must be fixed...

It takes time to fix it bro. Calm down...
Save world. Make cake. Exit w/o save. Game crashed when trying to initialize the server.
The save i spent over 10 hours on is useless at the moment.
this is also why I'm gonna wait until an actual bug fix to start playing seriously
What really sucks is that i spent about 10 hours on that save :/ guess i'll just help my friends on their worlds for now.
