So, me and my bros have been trying to play split screen for about an hour, but It just isn't working. We all have gold accounts. Please help us with our problem!
you guys at minecraft should be on this on this issue about the multi-player splitscreen for the xbox360. I paid 1600 Microsoft points on this game for the splitscreen that doesn't even work! You make a game and charge people 1600 microsoft points and it doesn't work. I think you guys need to get on this and fix this problem ASAP!!
Rather than start another unneeded thread, wouldn't it have been better to post in the one of many threads on this subject?
I would have thought the most people posting in the same thread would have a better chance at finding a solution than 50 threads scattered about?

Seriously shameful marketing not clearly displaying the need for an HDTV.
I'm so glad I stumbled across these forums before purchasing this morning as I would have been raging when I went to play on our projector and found out it was a no go.

I am sure we will get an update to fix the issue, but in the mean time it seems a bit arbitrary to flame a forum that the developers probably don't even read. Then again I did see a 4jxxxx account reply in one of these threads so who knows... You might be on to something.

I can't believe it! We have minecraft on our PCs and our iPods and have been literally counting the hours for this game to come out on the XBOX. We downloaded it first thing this morning and have been trying all day to find out why we can't play multiplayer. I have reset all console settings and changed all player profiles to adult so there are no restrictions and we still cannot select the "online" or "invite only" checkboxes. We do not have an HDTV so we are using S-video or RCA hookups to our current TV. Now I find out we have to go buy an HDTV????? Please say it ain't so......say it ain't sooooo!!!!!!!
Are there going to be refunds to the people who don't have HDTVs or can this be fixed with an update??? Please respond Mojang/Microsoft!!
It's because minecraft is such a powerful game it takes a powerful tv to run splitscreen and why dont you just get gold and play online like everyone else and quit complaining split screen just hinders how large of a playing screen you have so i dont know why you would even want to play splitscreen.
I don't wish to be mean to those with SDTV's but you need to see the facts, if the game was in SD in split screen the icons and text would be UNREADABLE!

This will be the first game ever released not allowing split screen on old hardware.
Why is that you might ask? Well because its nuts.
If people want to play on an old tv (and have difficult reading, etc) that's their choice and they always know they can upgrade their tv to get a better experience.
Minecraft is definitely not a title that should require HDTV, period.

I was planning to play on a non-hd projector. Should have worked just fine for a title like this imo.
I have lots of HDTV's in my home btw, just not huge ones that are great for split-screen play.
