You can download a demo which spawns you on to the tutorial map.
You can stay as long as you please but you CANT save the game.
This version is only for doubters and PC elitists.
My thoughts after playing the trial version_____________
-THE GAME IS SMOOTH AS HECK. 60fps NO DROP experienced
-Im confounded on how big the map actually is. 1024x1024 might seem small but TRY and ACTUALLY play in it. Its more than enough.
-Graphics are as expected. AWESOME as always.
-Controls are a little bit shaky. But you will get used to it.
-Crafting is a little bit confusing but you will actually find it faster than its PC counterpart.
In my opinion, there's only 2 things that's gonna take me a bit of getting used to with the controls.. The analog stick.. and the B button being to throw an item. I can bet right now, a ton of people are going to accidentally lose items by pressing B.
I actually find crafting to be awesome, and not confusing at all. Maybe it's because I've watched like, every 360 Minecraft video on youtube I could find, lol. But I've gotten the hang of it already.
(Also luckily, I have the full version, so I can save. lol)
Edit: One thing I've noticed.. it's quite hard to swim, and change the direction you're looking at the same time.

I play pro FPS so its not really a challenge to me. But for casual players. maybe.
I was hoping that the transition from PC to Xbox would be easier as I've always used a xbox controller.
I'm throwing away so many items (Curse you skyrim), really want custom controls, I liked my setup
I'm actually having a ton of fun with the game. I just started my new world, already have like 5 achievements and a Steve gamerpic. Working on getting some stone tools.
But yeah, swimming is a bit annoying. Can't really hold A, and move the right stick at the same time.
I was actually worried the game wasn't gonna be as good as I hoped. Based on some videos and stuff it looked oddly laggy and just kinda..'eh'. But this is awesome.
Ok. A warning some people may or may not realize. Pausing does NOT pause the game. I paused and it still turned dark while paused. So yeah, don't pause the game thinking it'll actually pause the game. lol

-Rendering distance is about 190-200 blocks. Pretty awesome.
-Creeper explosions are a little bit weird.
-Lighting delays ARE present but they only last for a blink on an eye.
-Snow near the trees at night time appear a shade of green. Weird lol.
That is good to know.

I play FPS games all the time. I think what it is, is that I haven't gotten the sensativity how I like it yet.

though the swimming is a bit tough.
