Mostly because of nostalgia reasons, I want to trade in my Wii for a 360 to play this game.
Could someone explain the multiplayer aspect for someone who would be new to playing online?
If I understand this all correctly, I need to be able to connect to the internet on the 360 to download the game. I really don't know what I need beyond that though :/
You have to go on Xbox Live to download the game, which costs 1600 MP
you need Xbox Live Gold to play online and the online is only playable with your friends so you can't just join a random world (which sucks )
From what I saw, apparently, random people could join unless you put it on "invite only." One guy said another game journalist came in and destroyed stuff in his world. Maybe it was someone on his friends' list. Not 100% sure.

Alright, thanks for the help I only have 1 more question. If my Internet were to be down, would I still be able to play MC on the 360 or do I have to be connected to the internet to play at all, even if I just wanted to play locally?

Not 100% sure , usually it makes me sign in and be online to access anything I have downloaded from XBL marketplace. Thats just me not sure if that happens to anyone else.
