I bought the game and played it for about ten minutes(there's no subject, there should be no comma). I settled myself in my 5x5 above-ground house of cobblestone. I moved a few decimeters from the spawn point, and I nearly have the bottom-right corner of the map if I invest some few more minutes of walking around while holding it. I am thousands and thousands of kilometers from the next map restricting-border.
Sorry, I didn't realize I had to be an English professor to post here.
How about in the future they allow the purchase of servers? Kind of like Battlefield 3. That way you could have a speedy world that could be priced based on size.

Just a suggestion.
I think they would if Microsoft wants an extra buck.
I personally like the island feel to the 360 version. Rather than being on an endless world, having an island that you know the definitive boundaries of what you 'own' is a good feel to me, and getting to know the island like the back of your hand.
On the PC version, I always loved the survival island maps, so it's in a way like that, but bigger.
One thing I would suggest, is that if they are keeping the map size 1000x1000 forever, that they allow your character's inventory to be static, as in you could make another world, mine the resources, and bring them back to your main world. That cut's out the 'finite resources' part of it, and you could pretend that your 'sailing' to another island
I kinda dont get that island feel at all, but I dont get that big world feel either, its weird.
