So, I've heard the overland map size... has anyone done a video on how deep it goes? Are there a good variety of cave systems?

My poor PC plays the game at under 5fps, so I know I'll certainly be enjoying the game, small map size or whathaveyou

Well I think it's like on pc.

I think at 1.6.6 they had a max map height of 256 or maybe it was 128. So assume that sea level will be around layer 70.

128 from void to height cap. 1.6.6 came at 1.2 I believe.

just look at the wiki for 1.6

So they stuck with standard depth then? That sounds good...

Its not like its TM with a 2k depth

LOL, I don't know, how come they made the overland so small? Anyway, I figured the depth wouldn't change, but since overland did, just thought I'd see if anyone knew for sure.

same here my computer runs minecraft at like .0000000000000000000000000000000000001FPS

But with the subject of Total Miner, as brought up near the top of the thread, I thought it was pretty impressive for 2014 depth. It'd be interesting to see Minecraft do something like that.

I have been playing Total Miner while waiting for MineCraft. It isn't bad but I know MC will be better.

Total Miner in any iteration is pretty garbage, I don't care what anyone says. The only reason any of these garbage XBLIG clones are updating like crazy lately is because they know they'll have to directly compete with the game they tried to rip off.

The thing about Total Miner is that it literally plays the way a miner game should, it's about digging deep and exploring the underworld. Yes the surface area is small but the over 2000 block depth is meant to give you a real mining experience. Minecraft is a vastly superior game overrall but the mining aspect of the game itself is far better with TM.
