Reasons why I want it: If I get it, I will have all 3 versions of minecraft. No lag. Better multiplayer. My friends can join instantly.
Reasons why I don't want it: I already can play the regular version on my pc. No mods, texture packs, names or skins. It's expensive, and I already bought it twice for my pc and phone. It's still in 1.6, I don't want to play a game that's nearly a year old.
Should I buy it right when it comes out, wait for more updates or never buy it?
I suppose its all up to you. I can play the PC version without any lag, and yet I will still happily buy the 360 edition just for the added comfort( Couch and flat screen) as well as the split screen.
main advantages of having it on the xbox is split screen w/ a friend and playing it on a tv instead of a monitor (although some ppl like me already play xbox on a monitor). if that doesnt appeal you then id stick to the pc (pc is better anyway). if you are a huge fan of minecraft id buy it because $20 isnt really a lot. i honestly think this game has more entertainment value than some of the $60 games. it cost $20 because it doesnt take much to make.
I'm not a PC gamer, myself. I used to have a decent machine, but gave it to my friend after his house burned down. XBL version is great if you lag like crazy on the PC. Also, split screen is AWESOME
