So I've seen all the information about how to make an online game and everything surrounding that but I was wondering where the maps are saved.
I'm curious whether the first person to generate the map for the online game has to be online for anyone else to be able to access the map, much in the same way as a server on a computer. I am really hoping that this isn't the case, but I was curious if anyone knew the answer.
Okay I think I should explain this. Basically when you create a world you have the chance to make it an online game or not. BUT even if you do not make an online game firstly you can everytime you load the game. So if you just want to create a map for online then choose the online option. BUT if you want to make it invite only choose that as well.
Hope that helped.
So if you're not playing the map then other people won't be able to play on it either? If so I think that would ruin the multiplayer part of it because I'd be constantly having to wait for my friend to get online and then harass them to get on minecraft.
I could be wrong about this, but I thought it was said somewhere that if someone joins your world, they'd have the option to download the world and continue playing offline? I dunno, I thought someone said it in one of the videos or something.
