Hey guys, I was just curious to know how the whole deal on skin's will work. I've done research but I haven't found anything about it. Some people say you will log onto the website and enter your gamertag and get some skin's. Can anyone confirm this, or is the tech crew still working on this?
From what ive heard they will not have this option in the initial realease much like other features. But also from what ive seen in the trailer etc ive seen players with skins so im actually now a bit unsure

There are 8 pre-made skins for online play. I'd assume the host gets Steve, and other players are randomly selected a skin not yet used.
no custom skins at release, im not sure they're even sure how they're going to do it, but i believe linking to minecraft.net has been mentioned/considered. you'll know when more concrete information is released. it'll be sort of like the maps, it'll be ALL OVER this section of the forum.
