I know this might get me banned, but do you think that this game is worth getting?
Considering the map size and stuff.
Thanks.
definaitly still worth gettin gi knew from the start it wasnt going to be anyware near as good as the pc version of minecraft but its the next best thing and frankly if its map size your worried about then dont worry cause as uve seen people all over the forums ar B_______ about it and im sure the developers do something about it
Get it for the PC first. It's best on PC. If you have problems with Minecraft on the PC lagging then install Optifine, but if it still doesn't work then get it for the Xbox. I can run Minecraft on the PC fine but I'm going to get on the Xbox just to try it and support the game. I know it will DEFINITELY not be as good as the PC version but it's worth a try.
i just saw some trailers for it last night and i will look into getting it. My bf and I would like to play together and this would be ideal way and also we don't need to have a server going that lags out our internet at home, and the possibility of my daughter playing with us as well. So it looks pretty cool, but i do like my pc version
I already bought the points, so I'll probably get it.
But if it's not up to snuff, It's PC for me.
And if the world is way too small, I might start a petition or something.
If it isn't complete horse-s**t like Total Miner : Forge, it should be worth it. Remember, every update is free with purchase. If you buy now, you can enjoy it until it updates to fix any problems that you have with it, such as pistons, the world size, and anything else you want.
IF you have a decent computer i recommend getting for the pc. it will only cost 7 dollars more but you get a far better version of minecraft. i can't have it for pc because my laptop overheats every time i try to play.
You gotta take into consideration, multiple things.
Do you like playing on PC instead of 360?
Do you prefer a controller over mouse and keyboard?
Would you rather be able to lean back on a couch with a tv and play Minecraft, instead of sitting at your PC?
Does split screen interest you for some reason or another?
Can your PC even run Minecraft?
Can you deal without mods, or do you live for mods?
Can you live without huge 500+ person servers?(360 is up to 8 players only, and only for people on your friends list..no random people you don't know)
Also keep in mind. The worlds will be a LOT..like..a LOOOTTT..smaller on 360. And it's starting at an earlier version of the game, so no potions, enchanting, npc villages, dragons, "the end", etc yet. They should be getting added at a later time though.
In my case, I have the PC version, but I'm gonna get the 360 version also. My PC can run the game fine, but it could still be better. I honestly prefer a controller usually mainly because it's simpler(Although I like a keyboard and mouse, it's just..easier..and i'm lazy). My brother wants to try Minecraft, so split screen is a good way for me to help him get into it. I love mods, but I've played plenty without them, I'll live. And I also intend to play it while I'm at my computer doing other stuff. I can't run PC Minecraft, and other PC programs at the same time, so this way I can run the 360, and computer at the same time, without either one lagging.
You also have to figure, it's only $20. Even with a small map, I'm sure you'll be entertained for hours, and days, maybe if you're really into it, weeks and months. Honestly, the PC version is worth a LOT more than that, and I've seen many people, myself included, say that if the game had less stuff, it'd still be awesome and worth it. And I guess we have that with the 360 version. It's the PC version, with a smaller world, smaller online, and an older version of Minecraft. Still worth the $20 in my opinion.
It just depends on the situation. If your PC is good enough for the PC version, there really isn't any point of buying the Xbox version unless you want to play with Xbox friends. It's the exact same game, just on a different platform. Of course, it goes vice versa, too; crappy PC = embrace the Xbox edition with open arms.
If your a big minecraft fan id say go ahead. expecally if you have a nice big HD TV or what and wireless controller or a buddy you and them can sit and play splitscreen and what. that aspect could be quite fun with friends. Single player? id say it can be fun but the PC version i think will remain the best with mods and texture packs and the like, still for me. I will buy it to check it out and also i am visiting my cousin this June for a few days so would give me something to do.

AdminPersonally I think the game is great, definitely worth getting!
Although the 1600MSP price is pretty steep.
But if it's not up to snuff, It's PC for me.
