Update #1: I've reached one side of the end of the world. You'll see an infinite ocean, but there will be an invisible wall to stop you from moving forward.
You don't need to "count" every block along the way, all you really need to do, is just make one straight path from one end to the other, and time how long it takes to get there.
Oh for ****s sake, over a ****ing year I've been excited waiting for this **** for some poxy 5 minute walk across piece of **** game. 4 player split screen get the **** out and give me bigger worlds.
Terrible as it is, there's probably a reason behind it, whatever that is. It's not like they don't know how to make infinite worlds, or even just larger worlds.
Well, I don't have precise calculations on it, but roughly 5 minutes of walking from one side to the other would mean that the map is about 1200x1200.
I could be completely wrong though. Lol.
I think it's about 1,300. According to minepedia, Steve walks at 4.31 blocks per second. So that's 4.31*(5*60), or your speed times the time in seconds? That would be 1,293, so about 1,300.
Im fine with 5 minutes. I'm not happy about it but i'm still buying the game. I mean look at Total Miner, it takes about a minute to walk from wall to wall and it's still a great game.

I seriously doubt they will, I've just told my 5 friends I had talked into buying it not to bother now, I'll get it but I'm playing on my own. So ridiculous to have 4 player split screen in exchange for this ****, and why do we need anymore than 30 FPS?!
I'd happily trade any multiplayer or split screen capabilites for 30 fps and a world at least 10,000 x 10,000. Unfortunately I doubt that would be an option they would implement.
No. Multiplayer is all that matters to me. And we don't know if he's leing.
Honestly, I don't think it will be as bad as all of us are making it out to be. Although I wonder how the future updates with the new biomes and such are going to fit into a world that size neatly. Regardless my friends and I will still be buying it.
I'm sure with future updates the worlds will be increased either because it's mandatory for future updates, or because Microsoft and 4J will be flamed by countless amounts of angry players....I won't be one of them.

I think you're going a bit overboard with this.
