Its already confirmed that the game would be running at 60 fps, so this means that the game is stable and possibly that the xbox is powerful enough to handle a "Big" map at 60 fps. I mean why not 30 fps? Why not? This is because the Xbox can handle "it". If it was on 30 fps. I can confirm that the Xbox maps are small and cant handle minecraft worlds but its not, its on 60fps.
A tweet says that the the Xbox map is not as big as the PC but still "big". This says that if the PC map is 8x the size of earth, then this could possibly mean that the Xbox map would be atleast half of it. Even just 1/8 the size of PC is as big as the whole Earth on xbox.
4j Studio representative told us that he never knew the size of the map. This means that he never noticed the end of the map, never reached it, or never seen it. (Theres also a chance that he was lying to us.)
Proof that the worlds are small: _________
Ive seen the video of the 5 minute minecraft Xbox map. Yes its un optimized and its the Jtag version. However, if its now "optimized" then the performance can only be improved by so much. So the final Version can possibly only as 5x to 50x as big as the 5 min map. (But we dont know the JTAG version). However, i the video was posted very recently (MAY) so it could possibly the "Latest" jtag version. But we may never know the version the guy in the video was playing in.
4J studios NEVER told us the size of the map even though its so late in the optimization stages. They could atleast assure the fans of the map but they didnt, even with countless nagging in twitter.
All these are PURE speculation so take my analysis with a grain of salt.
Nope, a tweet responded to a fan questioning the map size because of the "OXM trolling" video. The tweet stated that it is NOT the map size but the rendering distance is kept 'Low" for a stable 60 fps gameplay.

Ah nice one, thanks very much To be honest I am personally happy to see this over them making the maps even smaller, though in this statement he says that worlds are smaller to maintain FPS;
MentalGaming @MentalGamingTV
@PopsRamjet the world size is extremely small youtube.com/watch?v=Me6r-G… , why that small?

Roger Carpenter @PopsRamjet
@MentalGamingTV already stated worlds are smaller for stability and awesome framerate for 4 players simultaneously on single Xbox.

If you actually carefully analyze his two statements, he never actually says that the worlds aren't that small.
That sucks... The only reason I'm buying the xbox one us because my step dad doesn't want to fix my computer and it been 5 months. So this is the only thing closest to the pc.
I really don't care as long as its lets say 50,000x50,000 im OK with it i don't really explore much anyways i just build and the resources are beneath your feet .
EDIT:how neat i just noticed im a zombie killer how nice i wonder whats next (rank by the way for those that were thinking i wasn't talking about rank lol).
OKAY! everyone, the world size is the size of a single map "Minecraft Item" , it was proven from someone who got a code early on youtube, i cant post a video here till 9PM PST, or ill get ban
Can you send it to me in messenger?
Also, they have it as some sort of ''demo'', so they could make small map.
Well I agree but I also think it going to be a matter how of how much memory your xbox can hold.
I personally think it has to do with the "server" that you are always passively running. If you have 7 friends connected to you, a 10k x 10k world can get very CPu intensive if everyone is running in different places. I personally believe that once the Xbox and PC versions are caught up and the look into cross platform play, we will be able to use PC servers and the load will be offset to that and allow us to use bigger worlds.
I have a feeling that they are refusing to to tell us because they think we will be disappointed with what they have to say.
Disappointment leds to less sales.
You know whats worse than disappointment? When they are in denial about something that everyone believes it so (not saying they were!). What I think is way worse than being in denial though.. Is when they don't even say a word about it; before AND after people know about something (which is what usually happens in the gaming world for an upcoming release).
Yes but he still has the entire top, left, and bottom section left undiscovered.

Small rendering distance not small MAP.

On video Edwin made a boat and swam in an adventure, map is big! So calm down everyone.
So worlds are half of PC ones?

There is no proof anywhere that the early version is some kind of "demo".
Infact, one of the admins of the forum posted and said it is the retail version.

128 blocks from the void to height cap. And yes it does.
